<image:caption>Colten Hayes brings extensive experience as both a player and coach to his role as Assistant Coach with the Olds Grizzlys in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). This season, he worked with numerous minor hockey associations, running skills sessions for Okotoks Minor Hockey, Black Diamond Minor Hockey, Cochrane Minor Hockey, Wheatland Minor Hockey, Olds Minor Hockey, and more. As the only Hockey Canada Certified Skills Instructor in the Foothills region, he is committed to player development at all levels. Over his pro career, he recorded 87 points, 452 penalty minutes, and a +43 rating. Before turning pro, Hayes competed in both the BCHL and AJHL, suiting up for the Langley Chiefs, Drumheller Dragons, and Okotoks Oilers, where he posted 104 points and 538 penalty minutes in three seasons. In 2010-11, he made history as the first Okotoks Oilers player to be named AJHL Defenseman of the Year. With 18 years of coaching and instructional experience, Hayes is the owner and operator of Coast2Coast Hockey Development, established in 2015. His coaching career includes a second tenure as Head Coach/GM of the High River Flyers and leading the U18AA Foothills Bisons to their first winning season in a decade. He has also served as GM/Head Coach of the High River Flyers, Assistant Coach for the Okotoks Bisons, and Head Coach of the U13 AA Foothills Bisons. A strong believer in player development and leadership, Hayes leads by example, fostering relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
